Horizon SHIP is offering $300 grants to licensed child care providers in Grant, Pope, and Traverse Counties to help start a garden with the children in their care this summer. Gardens can be used to grow vegetables, herbs, or other edible plants—and are a great way to encourage hands-on learning, healthy eating, and outdoor exploration.

Funding can be used for supplies like soil, seeds, tools, raised beds, watering cans, and child-sized cooking equipment. No prior gardening experience is required!

Apply by June 1 — the application is quick and easy (less than 10 minutes) and funding is limited.
